Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workshops are an intensive combination of lectures and studio exercises that pack a semester-long art course into five days. These workshop led by Lynda Greenberg are designed to develop the perceptual skills necessary for drawing with confidence and have proven valuable both for people who feel they have little talent for drawing and for those wishing to expand their abilities.
The Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain Workshops with Lynda Greenberg explore the relationship of drawing skills to the specialized functions of the brain, based on the pioneering work of Dr. Betty Edwards. In a carefully sequenced process, students learn the basic strategies of “seeing” that enable them to draw with a high degree of skill and confidence, producing finished drawings of high quality. All exercises are preceded by demonstrations and followed by assessments of individual progress.
